Syrah is a noble Mediterranean grape variety that thrives in bright and dry places like our Sicily. This is why we strongly believe in the future of this variety in our land. From an extraordinary vineyard – Maroccoli at about 400 meters, in an unspoiled place – comes this interpretation of Syrah in a modern key, respectful of the characteristics of the grape. Imposing and impenetrable, it is a wine destined for long aging.

Destemming followed by 21 days of skin contact at 25°C; after racking, malolactic fermentation in steel and wood; aging for 14 months in barriques.

Sambuca di Sicilia (Agrigento).

Aging in Allier oak barriques, 30% new.

Oriental sweet spices and a slight hint of toasted cocoa accompany the wine in all tasting phases, now opening up to the very clear and sunny black fruit, now to more wintery notes of leather and humus. An enveloping touch reminiscent of the texture of velvet with a finish of mint and black pepper.

Marinated and grilled lamb chops, accompanied with mint or even with an orthodox parmigiana with smoked provola cheese.
