The choice of tomatoes

Tomato purée is a product obtained from the processing of ripe and juicy tomatoes, carefully selected to ensure a high-quality product. In particular, in our company we only choose tomatoes of Sicilian origin, harvested by hand and carefully selected. For the production of tomato purée by Conserve Taudì, we use only fresh and ripe tomatoes, coming from Sicilian cultivations that respect the environment and nature. Thanks to the choice of high-quality tomatoes, our tomato purée has an intense and authentic flavor, reminiscent of the taste of freshly picked tomatoes.

Tomato Processing

After choosing the tomatoes, we move on to their processing. The tomatoes are washed, cut, and then passed through a sieve to remove the skin and seeds. The tomato pulp obtained in this way is then cooked at low temperature for several hours, in order to concentrate the flavors and obtain a creamy and homogeneous consistency. 
During the processing, we pay special attention to the quality of the ingredients and respect for artisan techniques, using only traditional methods and without adding any preservatives or thickeners.
